Meet Donavan Arnold
I was born and raised in Gainesville, so this isn’t a market I studied from the outside. It’s the one I grew up in. I’ve watched this town change over the years, and I still call it home today.
I didn’t grow up planning to become a Realtor®. Real estate came onto my radar after I spent time listening to Dave Ramsey. Somewhere in there, it started to look like a genuinely solid, long-term career. That was enough to get me looking into it seriously, and in 2010, I got my license and became a Gainesville Realtor®.
I’ve never been big on high-pressure real estate. My approach is simple: provide honest information, answer questions directly, and let people make the decision that works for them. I’d rather give you accurate information about a home, location, or market than tell you what you want to hear.
I’ve worked in Gainesville real estate since 2010 and currently work with Momentum Realty, helping buyers, sellers, and people relocating to Gainesville and surrounding communities.
Many clients are moving from elsewhere in Florida or across the country. In those cases, I’m not just showing houses. I’m answering questions about neighborhoods, commutes, weather, and day-to-day details that do not appear on a listing sheet.
Family
Outside work, my life is pretty full. My wife, Katy, and I have three boys, and between real estate and raising a family, my days stay busy. Gainesville isn’t just where I do business. It’s where I’m raising my kids, too.
A few years back, I started making videos about what it is like to live in Gainesville, including neighborhoods, pros and cons, and day-to-day considerations. The goal is to give people an honest, practical look before they decide whether to move here.
